Happy Cake, Taking a Bow & "Fiying"!

My parents and I got to keep Charlotte and Douglass Charles on Charlotte's 2nd Birthday weekend! Charlotte is getting so big and Douglass Charles' little personality is starting to show! He laughs and smiles so big. He is still a cuddler and likes to be held but was loving crawling everywhere and playing with the balloons we had blown up.

One of the funniest things Charlotte would do was when she made us laugh she would bow, put one hand over her heart while nodding to the left and right and say, "tank you, tank you"! It was hilarious. She even started doing it after singing along to Cauio's theme song. She cracked us up. She also got "happy cake" for her birthday and lots of whipped cream from Paw. It was funny how every time one of us would leave the room, she would repeatedly ask where that person was..."Where Maw?", "Where Paw?", "Where Kay?", "Where Cissy?" and then she would look all around. Too cute!

Another thing she did was "fly like Tinkerbell". I had gotten her one of those musical birthday cards and the only cute, girlish one they had was a Tinkerbell one. It played the, "You can fly, You can fly..." song from the original Peter Pan. As she is not old enough to have seen any Disney movie yet, she did not know what to think of the song. It's a little different than anything Cauio or Barney sings (her favorite shows). Anyways, she would bring the card to us to open and we explained every time how the fairy on the front was Tinkerbell and she could fly. Then we showed her how to fly with our arms spread out and we would fly around the room (the things you do for your niece & nephew)! Towards the end of the weekend, she would bring the card to you, allow you to open it, then spread her arms out and say, "Fiy?" and then "fiy" about the room...
